In 2014, EPIC MAS was established to support the Los Angeles Culture Festival (LACF) in their mission to promote the culture of the West Indian community in California. Since then, our brand has also expanded to include other Carnivals globally; Barbados Cropover 2015, ScotiaBank Caribana 2015, and Trinidad and Tobago 2016.
You can join EPIC MAS Band by simply purchasing your favorite costume from our shop.
Early Bird registration will begin on March 1st, where we offer special down payment pricing of just $100 for any costume. Official Registration (offering the 50% downpayment option) will begin at 12am (midnight) March 25 (the night of Band Launch, March 24).

We believe in giving our masqueraders special “add-on” options, for the purpose of both working with your budget, as well as allowing you to really get creative and make your costume your own! You can choose from many different “add-on” options such as larger headpieces, backpacks, large foot pieces, and other embellishments at an additional cost. These options will be detailed on the shopping page for each costume.
EPIC’s masquerader package includes your costume, EPIC Road Ready Goody Bag, non-alcoholic drinks on the road, security, on-site paramedics, mobile restrooms, the EPIC Cool Down Zone in the Cultural Village.
You will collect your costume at our EPIC Mas Camp. The costume collection schedule and location will be emailed to all masqueraders and posted to our website, Instagram, and Facebook.
Yes, however, you must provide the person collecting your costume with a signed letter of authorization in order to collect the costume on your behalf, accompanied by a copy of the original owner’s ID.
All of our costumes are made to order, using the exact sizing you provided in your registration form, when you purchased your costume. Unfortunately, if these measurements are not accurate, the costume will not be either, and there is nothing we can do to alter your costume once it has been made.
Costumes can be viewed for the first time at the Hollywood Carnival Band Launch on March 24th a the Bellasco Theatre. After that, they can be viewed at any EPIC MAS Band promotional event, which will be communicated to masqueraders through email, IG, Facebook, and the EPIC MAS Band website.
The band departs at 11am and ends at 3pm at the Carnival Cultural Village on the cor. Of Hollywood and Highland Ave.
The starting point is located on the corner Of Vermont and Hollywood Boulevard. Updates will be provided via email, Instagram, Facebook, and the EPIC MAS Band website.
The Carnival Cultural Village is the after party / concert featuring many popular international artists where the Hollywood Carnival Parade ends. This event gives our masqueraders access to food, alcohol, and merchandise vendors, as well as many other cultural experiences. All masquerader packages include free entry into this event.

The Parade of the Bands produced with Los Angeles Culture Festival is welcome to all ages. All of the other Hollywood Carnival events are strictly 21+. You must bring a valid, government issued ID to each of the event venues to be admitted
After entry to one of our venues, ins and outs will not be permitted. Your ticket will not be valid after entry
Individual tickets may be purchased from our event calendar listing. Our Festival Pass offers the best deal if you are planning on going to multiple events.
You may purchase tickets in advance for a discounted price or at the door. You do not need a ticket for the Parade of the Bands, which is free to the general public

By purchasing a costume from one of our Mas Bands, you have officially registered with the band and are eligible to participate with them in the Parade of the Bands. For a complete list of participating Bands, please click here.
We encourage you to wear your costumes out to the Parade of the Bands & Carnival Cultural Village. For all other events, please note that it is up to the venue’s discretion on dress code and admittance for costumes. Please contact the venue directly with any questions.
